Unless she hit the tattoo parlor on Monday morning in the wake of her record-setting eight VMA wins the night before, we're surprised Lady Gaga's keen-eyed Little Monsters didn't already know the title of her upcoming album.
By now you know that Mother Monster revealed during her win for Video of the Year that her second full-length opus will be called Born This Way. According to photos posted on the LadyGagaNow.net fan site on Monday, the singer has commemorated the reveal with some new ink on her left thigh.
A photo of Gaga at Los Angeles International Airport reportedly taken on Monday — in which she is wearing fishnets, a gold coat, bra and panties, and another pair of those lobster-claw Alexander McQueen shoes she loves — revealed that Gaga's latest body art consists of a unicorn with its outstretched horn covered by a banner that reads, of course, "Born This Way."
Though she was still wearing the lavender-and-blue-tinged wig she sported the night before, there was no sign of Gaga's now-legendary meat suit, an outfit that lit up the Internet on Monday when she wore it during her Video of the Year win.
While New York Fashion Week attendees and style experts raved about the flesh fantasia — and yes, it was real meat, according to its designer, Franc Fernandez — as expected, the response from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals was not so glowing.
Gaga explained her decision to don the steak suit on Ellen DeGeneres' show on Monday, saying, "It is certainly no disrespect to anyone that is vegan or vegetarian. As you know, I am the most judgment-free human being on the earth. ... However, it has many interpretations, but for me this evening ... If we don't stand up for what we believe in and if we don't fight for our rights, pretty soon we're going to have as much rights as the meat on our own bones. And I am not a piece of meat."
No release date for Born This Way has been announced yet.
